From Clifton traffic light intersection of TX 6 and FM 219, drive 3.9 miles south on TX 6 to CR 2602 (Bosque Sales Barn), turn right on CR 2602 and drive 6.9 miles to Lanes Chapel Methodist Church. Cemetery is behind the church.
Enter through the walk in gate. Look slightly left. Line up the Large Oak with an upright marker for Mathews. On the back side of the oak is a metal bench. To reach the box you have to stand on the bench and reach into the fork of the tree. Please recover with pieces of wood not a rock.
I believe they hold services at the chapel. Please don't look for the box on a Sunday.
Hike length: 0.1 miles
