Edit: I just replaced the stamp and description to something a little more relevant to baseball. It is still in the same place and in the same container. This Box was previously called "Chimney Park Box"
In 1942, with many men being drafted into the war and many minor league baseball teams being disbanded, a women's baseball league was created. The league had 15 teams and played with most of the same rules that the men's teams did, including the same small ball size and overhand pitches.
The league played it's last season in 1954 and in 1988 the Baseball Hall of fame recognized it and it's players with an exhibit.
