My first Virtual Event! Even though it is to commemorate the birthday of Disneyland, a place I have yet to visit, I wanted to participate because of my love of all things Disney. I was a Cast Member at our local (Midwest) Disney Store for almost 9 years. I applied for "one Christmas only, honey" and ended up having my two children while employed there. Sad to leave it when I did, but the real world called.

My stamp is taken from one of my favorite drawings in my //Cast Member Handbook//, circa 1994. It was at the beginning of the //Awards// section. Mickey seemed to be saying what many of of think, "Thank you and Congratulations, Mr. Disney" for all his wonderful contributions. It is a larger stamp, measuring about 3"x3".

Walt Disney on Disneyland: "To all that come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America... with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world." ([http://www.justdisney.com/walt_disney/quotes/]) Remember, //"It all started with a Mouse"//, Walt Disney.

I carved this stamp a month ago and set out today to plant it. I had to limit my location to somewhere easy to access since I am now wearing a boot on my foot due to a cracked bone. (Note: iPads //can// break bones when dropped.)

**To find this box:** You will need to go toward the tennis courts. Turn west on the road that takes you there. Once you turn onto this road, you will see a small parking lot on your left. At the west end of this lot, you will see a trail heading north into the woods. There is also a restroom building just west of this trail. Take about 50 steps (remember the boot, so the steps are not big) where you will see to your LEFT a cluster of 4 trees that have fallen toward the path, but are not blocking it. At the base of where three trees are uprooted is where you will find this box. It is on the path side, and is covered with bark. Please rehide well. There is a cache up ahead but on the other side of the path. If you continue taking this path north, you will come out at the volleyball courts.

Congrats to Christmas6, Lil Ewok, and Daddy's Favorite Princess for being First Finders, and for correcting my left/right issue :)
