Rockway is a very small hamlet located in the town of Lincoln Ontario. It is on Pelham Rd. 69. On Pelham Rd. 69 park in the east parking lot of the Rockway Community Center. There is a side trail access to the Bruce trail located here. These trails can be very rocky and steep with some climbing involved.(about a 6 ft. climb). Trails are close along the cliffs and unguarded so use caution, especially if the area is wet. You will also need to bring your own stamp pad for these.
1. From the parking lot take either trail path at the north side of the lot. When you come to a fork in the path stay to your left. In a few minutes you will come to an area of large flat broken rocky ground. Look to you left close to the edge about 10 ft from edge, there in a diamond shaped hole in the rocks. Your first find in hidden in that hole under some rocks.
2. Continue along this path, it goes to the left and across the rocks, and down the very steep hill. Continue straight to where the path turns right. 10 paces from the right turn there is a group of 4 beech trees on your left and at the base a large flat rock jutting forward from the ground. Lift the rock your second find in under the rock.
Continue along this path you will come to an incredibly large fire pit. Take the right path up the hill. Does this rock look familiar? Climb it and retrace your steps back to the parking lot.
