Welcome to Courthouse Square, the oldest surviving county government complex in the Midwest.
Park in the Thomas A. Faulkner Memorial Parking Lot. You may choose to pick up a walking tour map at the Sheriff's Residence. With or without the tour map, look for "Bennett's Forge" log building. When facing that building, the unrestored County Records Building (unmarked) is to your right. Facing that side of the Records building you'll see 2 doors and a window. Find the stairs to the door on the right. Between the cement stairs and the building you'll find the treasure you seek.
This image is in honor of my friend who will one day live in a log cabin.
There isn't a lot of traffic here, so on most days you can sit right on the steps to log. As always, be discreet if there is a crowd. Please keep stamp and logbook tightly sealed in their bags to help keep them dry. When replacing box, please do so carefully so it doesn't roll out of reach.
*There's a specially "doodled" prize for First Finder. This is also my first plant!*
