“They seek him here, they seek him there
Those Frenchies seek him everywhere
Is he in heaven or is he in hell?
That demned elusive Pimpernel!”
- The Scarlet Pimpernel, Baroness Orczy
If the Pimpernel you seek, research castles in Eastern Colorado. He lives at the castle whose name begins with G and contains the name of one of the Great Lakes.
Visiting hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm daily, closed on Sundays. Explore the grounds and have some afternoon tea, then return to the parking lot.
On the cliffside, find the boulder with the tree growing on top. Count five boulders to the right, and you will find the Pimpernel hiding behind.
Please rehide well as this is a fairly public area.
