Hillcrest
Drive into the park and park nearest to the animal totem between the two areas of play equipment that you can. Take the access road to the right of the totem that passes between the playground equipment leading to the large green covered Daylight Kitchen. Next to the entrance of the daylight kitchen is a light pole. Take a left here and walk along the road until you reach another light pole on the right side of the road. A few feet past the pole is a stump, walk between the pole and stump down the path leading into the woods. You will quickly come to a Y in the path. In the middle of the Y is a grouping of large rocks and trees with exposed roots. Stay right and walk past the stump on your right side on trail that forces you to step over a small log. Follow this path to the corner of the chain link fence. From the corner of the fence, take about 18 paces south to the tall stump that is in the middle of three trees. Search this stump!
Little Mountain
Head to Little Mountain Park and go to the upper parking lot at the very top of the park. Head to the north end of the parking lot (to the right of the trail map), and start on the trail marked by two green posts. Follow this trail and take a left on the trail marked “Ginny’s Trail”. Stay on this trail until you have to step over a log that is lying across the trail. After this log, take the next right. Stay on this trail as it takes you uphill on a moderate slope for several switchbacks in the trail. It will level out soon, you can do it! After these switchbacks, the trail will veer right and come to a T. Before the T, there is a small rock retaining wall on the left hand side. The letterbox is in these rocks!
Kiwanis
Park on 18th street and enter Kiwanis Park. Is it a hot day? If so, consider spending some time in the spray park! If not, or after you are done cooling off, start walking along the Kiwanis Boardwalk Trail that starts in between the bathrooms and baseball fields. If you’re quiet and have your eyes peeled, you might see some wildlife! Walk the trail until it comes to a T, and go left. At the end of the boardwalk trail, there is a small birch tree directly to the right that is growing in a Y shape. Look inside the small stump that is behind this tree. Be careful not to step into or disturb the wetland, this is a protected area!

Bakerview
Enter Bakerview Park and park on the left side of the parking lot and head to the large flag pole next to the bathrooms. From here, head down the gravel path that runs in between the baseball fields. When you come to a four way intersection, go left. Walk to the end of the baseball fences, there is a disc golf basket here. From the basket, head southeast to the tree in between two different disc golf baskets. After this, head to the large bare tree that is about 40 paces away. You will find the letterbox in the clump of trees that are right next to this large bare tree!
Edgewater
Enter Edgewater Park using the south side entrance and park in the large parking lot across the road from the bathrooms. Find the sculpture of the Edgewater Park “Leaper” and follow the path to the right of the sculpture. This path quickly turns into an access road to the public boat launch, turn left and follow this road. At the end of this road you come to a public boat launch. On the right side of the boat launch there are a few large rocks creating several over-hangs. The letterbox will be inside one of these overhangs!
Riverwalk
Head to downtown Mount Vernon and go to the Tulip Dance structure at the Riverwalk Plaza. From here, go to the walkway along the river and head right down the walkway. As you walk, make sure to take in the views of the river and try to spot some salmon! You will pass by “Montgomery Street” etched in the ground, keep going! Just before you pass under the bridge, go right and stop at the large pile of rocks under the bridge. You will find the letterbox along the wall on the left hand side, look under the flat rock that is about 4 rocks in!
