*** 10/30/17 Box pulled for maintanence- unavailable.

This box is dedicated to my brother, who on my last visit to Colorado took me disc golfing for the first time. Even though I teased him for “stretching” before we started - “come on, we're only throwing a Frisbee!” (Who knew you really do get sore after 18 holes of throwing one!) He was a great sport with his “Frisbee throwing challenged” sister, and an even better sport when I took him letterboxing for the first time the day before!
So this box is for the “Pinball Wizard’ of Denver- planted on the course that is home to his infamous “hole in one” shot!

New Berlin has some nice parks, but only one for now is home to a Disc Golf Course. Find the park and enter NOT on the “Small” side, but the “Sunny” side. Once you are there, park in the southern most lot (our city name should be “towering” above you!) and take the trail heading south into the woods. Take the first right- and as you go you will pass a secluded picnic spot and further on, you should ignore the next right opportunity. Down you go, passing a launch pad and through a rock wall. Farther down you will spy a fire pit below, but ignore your desire and continue past the fire - and to the left you go! Into the forest back to the south, passing two large Oaks- then just past the old bench, a Y you will see, at 170 degrees you should go. Down, and then up past another old bench, deeper in the woods you go. Past a needle eye tree, and if you look to the left, a horse you might see, then veering right as you start your descent. To a balding tree, stop and see, the large rock farthest east of this tree. From this rock take 10 steps at 130 degrees to find another rock. From this rock, take 15 steps at 170 degrees, stepping over a fallen log. Looking down to your Left, you will find the Basket Case, under the Northeast side of the log, underneath broken arm- well covered under bark and rock.
Stamp in, recover well, and watch out for flying discs and muggles!

If you return to the trail and continue on (watch your step going down!) you will meet up with the disc golf course at the 9th hole, there is no fee to play – so if you brought your discs – jump on in and enjoy the course! Or continue your hike around the 18-hole course as it loops around through the park.

Hope you enjoyed the hike, box updates appreciated - Thanks!
