Meet My Family #3 - Isaias LbNA #68553

This letterbox is in memory of my late nephew. Although I have many memories growing up with him, I’ll share just two. I miss hearing him sing the song "Oh Mari" (sung to the tune of Oh Donna by Ritchie Valens). And of course, the many times he would call me and pretend to be “a boyfriend” with a very deep, raspy voice. If you’d like to meet him, he’s waiting by the phone.

Start at the gas station on 990 Huntingdon Ave (its name has changed several times but it is also known as Valley Truck Stop). Locate the public phone booth near the street and traffic light. Once you are facing the phone, take one side step to your left (you should be faced towards the river). Take five steps or about 5 feet forward and notice the cement under your feet. Pay special attention to the upper left corner cement, it has broken off. Kindly lift that corner piece (it can’t be completely lifted off the ground) and underneath it, you will meet Isaias.
