This letterbox is part of the GO and Find Your Hero! program in York County, PA. It will be available from May 30, 2015- August 16, 2015. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

The GO and Find Your Hero! program requires you to search for up to 30 “autographs” of community heroes. These “autographs” are wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate onto your GO and Find Your Hero! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at Penn Park in York City. GO York! level of difficulty = Easy

- Park your car at the corner of Lindberg Avenue and West College Avenue (northeast corner of park)
- Starting at the Penn Park sign made of stone, follow the path leading toward the center of the park.
- Turn right onto the path encircling the large statue reading In Memory of the York Co. Soldiers and Sailors.
- Follow the path around the front of the statue to continue on the path toward the playground.
- Take time to play within the entire playground area.
- Within the playground area, find the lamppost with a sign that reads Angels of the Park and follow the path to the corner of Lafayette St. and Pershing Ave.
- Turn left and follow the path along Lafayette St.
- After passing a church with 3 red doors on your right and just before reaching the next street corner, you will see a forked path on your left. Take the path on the right.
- At the next intersection of paths, look to the left to see a tall pine tree. The autograph you seek should be nearby.
- Get back on the path leading toward the large statue.
- With the basketball courts on your right, take the second path on the right and follow it back to the entrance at which you began.
