This letterbox is part of the GO and Find Your Hero! program in York County, PA. It will be available from May 30, 2015- August 16, 2015. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
The GO and Find Your Hero! program requires you to search for up to 30 “autographs” of community heroes. These “autographs” are wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate onto your GO and Find Your Hero! rubbing page, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located at Brookside Park in Dover Township. GO York! level of difficulty = Moderate
- Park near the volleyball courts.
- Head toward the front of the carousel building (the bathrooms should be on your left).
- Go around the back of building #2 toward the playground.
- Walk around the far corner of the next building (building #1).
- Start walking down the hill toward the bridge.
- Cross the bridge and then take the second path on the right. You will pass a baseball/soccer field on your left.
- At the next intersection, go straight and begin to look for the autograph on your right.
- To return to your vehicle, retrace your steps.
