This letterbox is part of the GO and Find Your Hero! program in Ephrata, PA. It will be available from May 30, 2015- August 8, 2015. Further details about the program may be found at www.goephrata.org.
The GO and Find Your Hero! program requires you to search for up to 15 “autographs” of community heroes. These “autographs” are wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate onto your GO and Find Your Hero! rubbing page, available at the Ephrata Public library.
The letterbox is located on the Major Dick Winters Memorial Trail and may be accessed from the East Queen Street parking area. GO Ephrata! level of difficulty = Moderate
- Start your journey in the small parking lot on the right and next to a basketball court.
- Take a right onto the public sidewalk and continue straight until you arrive at the macadam trail.
- Turn right on the trail and follow it until you see a sign on your right that says “Ephrata Linear Park Trail.”
- Across from the sign is a set of stairs. Go down the stairs.
- You should now see a mulch path. Follow the path around the bend.
- The autograph for which you are searching will be nearby.
