This letterbox is part of the GO and Find Your Hero! program in Ephrata, PA. It will be available from May 30, 2015- August 8, 2015. Further details about the program may be found at www.goephrata.org.
The GO and Find Your Hero! program requires you to search for up to 15 “autographs” of community heroes. These “autographs” are wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate onto your GO and Find Your Hero! rubbing page, available at the Ephrata Public library.
The letterbox is located at Loyd H. Roland Memorial Park in Akron Borough. GO Ephrata! level of difficulty = Moderate
- Starting at the split rail fence and garbage can near the parking area, proceed along the macadam path that goes downhill.
- Bear left on the path at the old gnarled tree and cross the trench.
- The autograph you seek should be nearby on your right.
