Random Nature Letterboxes (3)
Planted by Bluebird, May 20, 2015
These are kid-friendly boxes, with distance of less than a mile and taking under an hour. I planted them during my grandson's soccer practice!
Go to Butner Athletic Park, 1105 West B Street in Butner. You will be taking the paved walking trail, counterclockwise, beginning at the far right side of the park/parking.
Near the second bench on the right, look behind a slightly leaning single tree for the Monkeying Around letterbox. Rehide carefully.
Continue on the paved path. Pass the 4th bench on the right. You will see a rock on the edge of the woods. Straight back from the rock, find the Cattails letterbox where 2 logs meet. Recover well with bark.
Continue on the paved path once again. Keep right - don't head toward the snack shack! Pass another bench and look behind the largest tree near the edge of the woods for the final box: GRRR! This last box contains the logbook. Isn't this a great park?!
