Moody Gardens has such a variety of events from which to chose from. As the seasons change, so do the events. One of my favorites that stays basically the same are the Pyramids that you can see from afar off as you enter the island. These boxes are dedicated to the sea, flowers and environment that is represented by these pyramids. To get more info about times, and prices visit here:

For those of you who have planted boxes at the Gardens, you know that they go missing very quickly, so I decided to plant these boxes in a Nature Park west of Moody Gardens.

Directions:
From 61st street, go west on the seawall road for about 11 miles until you reach 11 mile road. Go past this road to the next street light and turn right. When you reach Stewart rd turn right again, and then left on Eckert. Go to the trail head sign on your right and park in small parking area.

To the Boxes:
Box #1 Flower
Find your way over to the Gazebo. Continue on the trail, turn right at the intersection. Count about 8 steps and look right. there is a grove of Oak Trees. The box is placed between the first two trees nearest the trail. (those trees are parallel).

Box #2 Solar ***Box #2 is unavailable****
From box #1, continue down the path to the next intersection. Stay right and count 30 steps to two oak trees close together, and near the path. Facing the tree, look left at the base of the trees, where there is a large limb on the ground. The box is under this limb.

Box #3 Dolphins
From Box #2, continue down the path staying left at the intersection. At the second intersection, go left down the path to a sign that reads: Red Mulberry. Facing the sign, look right at an angle where you will see a small multi trunk tree. Box is in the middle of that tree.

This is a nature center, and great for bird watching. BEWARE THERE ARE SNAKES in this little park. There are warning signs, so please be careful. I suggest using leather gloves to retrieve the boxes. Thanks so much for stamping in this little series, and enjoy the island!
