To find this letterbox,
you can start from any trail.
You may find yourself panting
and climbing slowly like a snail.
You will need to find the cinder cone,
exposed and torn away,
where music can be heard,
and ball games call you to play.
A trail leads around this cone,
and many paths head high,
on top, a giant tree stands alone,
beckoning you to come nigh.
Near the Crater's rim,
and standing by this lovers' tree,
you will need to turn and face Northwest,
where an ancient tree once be.
Walk a hundred paces,
down this narrow path,
you will see nature's graces,
adorn the stump of years gone past.
Within the hull of the giant,
pulling back the well placed bark,
lies the Dog Daze box,
waiting for your mark!
