Enter the park off Friess Lake Road. Park by the ranger's house.
Enter the black trail behind the ranger's house. After you go down, around the sledding hill, right before you enter the pine forest (where the black and green trails meet), there is a down tree in the prairie grass. Look carefully for box 1

Continue on black/green trail through the pine forest (it will meet up with the blue trail). Continue on the black trail until you see the large wooden trail sign on your right (just before you cross the road). Letterbox number 2 will be hidden on the right side of the trail somewhere in the thick brush behind the sign. (Updated 11/2/14)

Continue on the black trail, across the road to past the gravel parking lot and take the second trail on your right. Just before you get to the water pump, there is a rock pile on your right. Check here for box 3. Then enjoy a drink.

Head back the way you came, across the road again to the black/blue/green trail. At the next fork, stay on the black/green trail. When the black trail splits from the green trail continue on the black trail across the road. Take the red shortcut to the right.

Now you are on the red trail. Continue on the red trail (always going to the right) until you find the large, split tree on your right. Look around for box number 4.

After you find box number 4 (about 30 paces before the next fork), you will come to a split in the trail, if you take the trail to the right, you will end up back by the ranger's house.
