To find this letterbox you will need to find several historical markers and get clues from the markers.

Go to 107 West Main St. in Frewsburg N.Y. and read the historical marker in front of the house. Subtract 1748 from the year that the Frew house was built, and then go to this number on Institute Street. Read the historical marker in front of this house. Add 60 to Samuel L. Derby's age at the time of his death. Go to this number on West Main Street. Read the historical marker there. Add the number of years that Ruben E. Fenton was a U.S. Senator to the number of years he was the supervisor of the town of Carroll. Go to this number on East Main Street. Read the historical marker there. Subtract 41 from Robert H. Jackson's age at the time of his death. Go to this number on Parkway Drive. Park in the parking lot in front of the armed forces memorial. On the opposite side of the street from the parking lot is a path going into the woods. Follow this path almost to the end (about 315 steps). At some point the path comes to a spot where the ground has been dug up. This is not the end of the path. The path continues on the opposite side of this dug up ground. Turn left just before the path comes to an end at the lawn for the blue building. Walk about 40 feet and you will see a cement foundation or wall on your right. The letterbox is in a tree near the cement wall.
