Beavercreek Abenture!

The abenture begins at Beavercreek Station
Where lies a sad memorial for our great nation.

From the station you want to head left.
To the rusty symbol of our nation bereft.

Detour and pay your respects to the brave.
At the memorial for those that couldn’t be saved.

This day changed our nation in so many ways.
Teach your young ones about those pivotal days.

On to happy things; This abenture is great!!!
As you stand you’re close to mile marker eight.

Go the correct way under Fairfield road
Take a glance at the Little Beaver Creek,
where you might spot a toad

Now head toward mile marker 7.5; it's east on the path.
Don’t worry this adventure doesn’t include math.

Continue on past the sign of stop
Toward the 'box of letter' we dropped

Before mile marker 7.5,
You will find Wetlands Association trail on the right
Thanks to their hard work, you and nature shall unite.

Continue straight onto the single track dirt trail and feel nature’s power
Avoid the two-track that runs along side man’s towers

Those on bikes may be asking: “are we properly equipped?”
Don’t worry, we’ve done it on training wheels and never once tipped.

Continue on this shady delight
For an eighth of a mile or so, and look to your right
Behold a clear view of the creek and the light

When there are no trees between you and the creek
Dismount from you bike and let your interest pique

In 25 paces you’ll find the treasure your seek
Find an old fallen friend whose top’s in the creek

Walk to her stump and admire
The wonders of nature as they transpire

Look behind you! You’ll find a plant of invasion
They call it Honeysuckle, it’s of Asian persuasion

The box and the logbook should be around it
Leave us a note and tell us you found it!
