RoboPup was placed at this beautiful park on our way back to Wisconsin from a weekend in St. Louis. A short 6 minutes off of I-39 in the quiet city of Peru, just north of the Illinois River.
From I-39, take Hwy 6 west 1.2 miles and turn right onto Joliet St at the stoplight. Turn left at the stoplight onto 11th St., and right on Pulaski, you'll see the parking lot entrance on the right.
Start your search here, in the parking lot, near the intersection of Parkside Drive and 30th Street by the fire hydrant and the ERX box Follow the path. When the path splits, don't take the bridge. RoboPup is afraid of going over the water so he wouldn't go that way. You will pass 2 benches on your right. Feel free to sit and rest at one of these benches and think about where you'd hide if you were RoboPup and you didn't want people to see you out in the open. Once you encounter the 3rd bench on the right side of the trail, have a seat and face straight forward. Listen for Robo-sounding pup noises. Turn 45 degrees to the right. There is a Willow tree directly ahead and across the water. Navigate your way around the water to this tree, and search above eye level. RoboPup thought he saw a RoboSquirrel and followed it up there and got stuck in a pile of sticks.
be discreet, and please cover it back up well with sticks after you return it, so it can't be easily seen even in the winter. It helps keep RoboPup warm and secure!
