Along Hwy. 70 discover 600 years of Western history along a route steeped in legend. From lost civilizations to the site of Billy the Kid’s first murder, the Old West Highway is the home of desperate gunfighters, Apache warriors, and lost gold.
A few miles east of Safford on The Old West Hwy 70 between mile marker 147 & 148 is a historical marker. Go to the power pole southeast of the historical marker. Continue southeast along the fence,18 steps to the metal fence post. With your back to this fence post, walk ahead 8 steps to the tree. The black pouch is under a rock at the base.
Please be discreet, zip all bags and pouch closed and rehide the pouch well and carefully within the branches.
