Find the World's Largest Kaleidoscope along Rte. 28 near Phoenicia, N.Y. It's an amazing experience for $5/adult!
After you visit the Kaleidoscope, head west on Rte. 28 about a 1/4 mile to the pull-off on the north side of the road with large Blue and Yellow New York State historical sign (You could likely walk there from the Kaleidoscope if you wanted).
From the tree behind the historical sign, take a bearing of 340* and walk 20 paces to a short old post near a Silver Maple tree. The stamp is hidden in the top of the old post.
Please beware of poison ivy, it is rampant at this site! Also, check out clues for a VERY NEARBY! stamp. :)
