Pleasant St.

We have been taking our kids Letterboxing for a few years and this is the first box we have placed together. This team 2 five year olds, a 7 year old and an 8 year old buddy (along with their moms)placed this box and thought of the clues. Enjoy your adventure. Please be sure to replace the box well - this is a very traveled area.

1. Start at the big rock in memory of Nicholas J Alfiere
2. Follow the path, keeping the open water on the right
3. Walk over the bridge with the waterfall on your right and the cattails on your left.
4. At the end of the rock path, go straight onto the dirt path.
5. About 10 feet in, the path splits, choose either path as they will meet up again.
6. When they join back together, you will see a sign in a tree that says, “trail junction 2” with a blue circle and a green triangle trail marker.
7. Keep to the path on the right (again, keeping the water to your right).
8. Keep following the path, you will pass another blue circle trail marker.
9. If you want, you can stop and rest on the fallen tree on your right. Maybe you will see frogs or fish in the pond.
10. Continue on the path past another fallen tree, notice the three-trunk tree on the right.
11. At the fork in the trail, bear to the left.
12. At trail junction 3, follow the blue circle trail up a steep hill.
13. At the top of the hill, bear right over the 4 skinny fallen trees.
14. Follow the trail down the hill to a place that looks as if it is a local teenage hangout (lots of trash and charred trees).
15. Between the double stump tree and the large single stump tree, follow straight along the path.
16. Bear to you left. A 4 trunk tree with large exposed roots will be on your right.
17. Follow the trail up a VERY steep hill and back down a hill on the other side.
18. At the split in the path, turn right (you will see another blue circle trail marker).
19. Wind around to the right at the triple trunk tree and down the pine needle trail to the left heading toward the water.
20. Near the end of the path, you will see a tree missing some bark near the bottom. Stop at that tree.
21. Turn approximately 90° to the right looking for a 7 trunked tree.
22. At that tree, turn approximately 90° to the right looking for a 4 trunk rotting tree.
23. You have reached your destination. Buried at the surface of this tree hiding under a large piece of bark, you will find the letterbox.
***BE SURE TO HIDE TH BOX UNDER BRUSH AND REPLACE THE LARGE PIECE OF BARK - THIS IS A VERY BUSY AREA*****
24. At this point, you can retrace your steps to return to the start or explore the many other trails.
