The Mountains
O, proudly rise the monarchs of our mountain land,
With their kingly forest robes, to the sky,
Where Alma Mater dwelleth with her chosen band,
And the peaceful river floweth gently by.
CHORUS
The mountains! the mountains! we greet them with a song,
Whose echoes rebounding their woodland heights along,
Shall mingle with anthems that winds and fountains sing.
Till hill and valley gaily, gaily ring.
Beneath their peaceful shadows may old Williams stand,
Till suns and mountains nevermore shall be,
The glory and the honor of our mountain land,
And the dwelling of the gallant and the free.
CLUES
The Mountains! The Mountains! We greet them with a song,
View kudos to Ephr'am as you do hike along!
Hike downwards, hike eastwards, and let your voices ring,
Till Route Nine seems a distant, distant thing.
Beneath the forest shadows you come to a "T",
But take not the trail on your right hand,
And soon your purple eyes will be glad to see,
A "W" formed by three oaks oh so grand!
Walk downhill, slide downhill until you pass Eph's tree,
Ensconced in a wrapper that's wind and water free,
It mingles with nut hatch not far above the ground,
The Udder Hopper you will now have found.
