Point Gratiot Park is off from Lakeshore Drive Route 5 in Dunkirk.Park all the way to the end of the park without going out. It is one way and you would have to drive in a big circle to get back in. Walk all the way to the end so that your are across from the lighthouse museum. There is a Department of Conservation across from the lighthouse. You will see their parking lot. There is a sign by the woods that says Nature Trail. Enter the woods here and go past a picnic table. Stay on the path to the left.Go about 80-90 average steps. The red building will be on the left.When the path forks,stay left.After the fork,go about 15 steps.This is included in the 80-90 and is a general guidline.Stop and turn left.Walk about 40 steps in toward the trees. You can see the red building to the left. Look for a cement cylindrical shaped thing with a metal eye hook sticking out of it. It's about a foot long. It's in the ground. Right behind this is a tree. It's on the ground.
