From Route 295, take exit 7B for Route 44 West. Follow Rte. 44 West for approximately 15.5 miles and turn right onto Pulaski Road. The park entrance is on your right 0.8 mile ahead. Park at the beach.

Start at the southeastern corner of the lot, at the sign beyond the gate. In the summer, the sign reads "Clarence A. Coutu State Beach" and in the winter, it reads "Casimir Pulaski Memorial State Park". Curious...

Follow the trail markers that are white with blue dots straight and then to your left. Follow to the very edge of the pond (a pavilion will be on your left). Make a right turn to continue following the white and blue trail markers along the edge of Peck Pond to a foot bridge.

Don't cross the bridge yet. Stand with the bridge to your back, and walk 25 paces in a southeasterly direction into woods to a large hemlock tree. Turn to your right and walk 15 paces to a large boulder. The letterbox will be behind the boulder under some pieces of bark.

Continue over the bridge on the white & blue loop trail if you wish. There are downed trees and stumps with the characteristic chew marks of the beavers that make their home in the pond. The entire hike is 1.3 miles.
