From York, go north on Nelson Rd., Nelson to Beaver Creek Rd,
Beaver Creek Road to the fishing access. The trail head is on the left, hiking North on the trail. The Missouri Creek trail is a lovely walk, along the Missouri River. Meandering 1.9 miles, you will come to a "Salmon Spawning" sign. Hike down to put your toes in the water, and take a look around. In the side of the cliff is a "Darigold" container. Please place your stamp, and replace the container for other letter boxers.
If you are hiking with younger children, you can go to the east side of the Hauser Dam, hiking North on the trail, behind the Dam powerhouse. Walking this way, it is just a short walk to the "Salmon Spawning", area. The trail is not wagon or stroller accessible.
