This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located in Heritage Rail Trail County Park and may be accessed from the New Freedom parking area. GO York level of difficulty = Moderate

 Park at the parking lot by the New Freedom Train Station.
 Walk to the Heritage Rail Trail, turn right and head down to the intersection.
 Carefully cross Franklin Street and continue on the Rail Trail.
 At the next intersection, carefully cross Main Street and check out the train if it is at the station.
 Continue on the Trail as it crosses two more streets – High Street and McCullough Avenue. You should be entering into the woods.
 On the right side of the Trail look for a bench, and the rubbing post nearby.
 To return to your vehicle, turn around and retrace your steps.
