GO and Experiment! - Reflexes LbNA #66933 (ARCHIVED)

This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at Rocky Ridge County Park and may be accessed from the back parking area. GO York level of difficulty = Moderate

 Park in the gravel lot underneath the power lines.
 Walk straight on trail #1 past the yellow post and under the wood arch.
 Continue following the gravel trail #1 through the woods.
 At the first intersection make a right onto trail #8.
 Continue walking on trail #8, cross the wood bridge and follow the trail till you get to the next intersection.
 At the intersection make a left on trail #1.
 At the next intersection with two benches make a right on the gravel trail #2.
 Walk about 100 yards on trail #2 and look for the rubbing post on the right side of the trail.
 To return to your car turn around and follow trail #2 back the way you came.
 At the first intersection continue walking straight. This will now be trail #1.
 Follow trail #1 straight until you reach the parking area.
