This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.
Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.
The letterbox is located along the Hanover Trolley Trail, starting at Moul Avenue Park. GO York level of difficulty = Easy
Locate the start of the trolley trail on the far left side of the parking lot.
Walk along the gravel surface, keeping the houses on your left and the park on your right.
As you continue along the trail, you will enter the woods and pass two metal benches.
The trail will cross a pipe which runs underneath it. Make a left after passing another bench.
Remain on the trail until you reach the end of the woods. You should notice a bunch of wood telephone poles. The post should be nearby.
To return to your vehicle, turn around and retrace your steps back to the parking area.
