This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The starting point for this letterbox is located in Kline's Run Park. GO York level of difficulty = Moderate

 Begin your trek at the Native Lands Heritage Trail information sign at the top of the hill.
 Standing in front of the sign, follow the arrow pointing toward the Native Lands Heritage Trail. Keep the swings and grill on your left.
 Upon reaching the road, turn right and continue toward the white “outdoor bathroom.”
 With the “outdoor bathroom” on your left, look through the grass and trees, up the slight hill for the post with a brown and white sign. Walk through the grass to that post / sign.
 Upon reaching the sign, you should notice that it reads “Native Lands Heritage Trail.” Continue on the trail past the sign.
 As you walk through the woods, you should notice blue paint spots on the trees alongside the trail.
 Continue on the trail until you reach a grassy meadow.
 At the edge of the meadow, you should see a wooden post with a blue mark on it. Remain on the trail until you reach the 4th post and what you are seeking.
 Take time to enjoy the view, noticing another “Scientific Term” (post) location in a distant hilly park.
 To return to your vehicle, retrace your steps through the meadow and woods.
