This letterbox is part of the GO and Experiment! program. It will be available from June 1, 2014 - August 17, 2014. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

Through the GO and Experiment! program, you will be searching for "scientific terms" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into your GO and Experiment! rubbing page, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at Rocky Ridge County Park and can be accessed from the Wildlife Parking Area. GO York level of difficulty = Hard

 From the parking area, walk to the pine trees and head down trail #5 past the yellow post.
 At the first intersection make a right on the trail. This is still trail #5.
 Continue following trail #5 for several hundred yards. You should see some houses on the right after a few hundred yards.
 Continue walking on trail #5 through the woods for a long distance.
 After a slight bend in the trail you should see a rusty chain link fence to your right. Continue walking on trail #5.
 After walking about 100 yards, look for the rubbing post on your right near the intersection of trail #5A.
 To return to the parking area, continue straight on trail #5. Do not go up the hill on trail #5A.
 Stay on trail #5 through the woods for several hundred yards and until you reach an intersection with a bench on the left.
 Keep straight on trail #5 and, at the next intersection, turn left and walk up a slight hill. You will still be on trail #5.
 Remain on trail #5 until you reach the parking area.
