Hand carved stamp

At 6100 feet it is a great place to fly your kite. But not during electrical activity.
North of Payson, between the towns of Pine and Strawberry, look for the road to Arizona’s oldest standing school house. Depending on the season, it may or may not be open.
About 3.1 miles beyond the school look for the sign to Fossil Springs trail head. Turn and look to your left for a pull-off. At the far end you will see a Prickly Pear cactus guarding a Juniper tree. As you face the tree there is a big rock out-crop. To the left of the rock about 5 feet toward you from the base of the tree is the box, covered by a group of rocks with a flat one on top. Further down the road a short way is the parking area for the trail and lake. It's a popular site with locals and visitors, which is why we didn’t plant the box on the trail. Let us know the condition.
