My daughter runs marathons, so this box is in honor of her many miles on trail. You don't have to run to get to it, but you do have to do some walking... or be smart enough to figure out how to get to it from the Oakmont Trailhead as I'm giving you directions from the Art Cowsen Trailhead and it's a mile hike to the box.
From I-20 take Hwy 377 South to Winscott Road. Turn left on Winscott to a green sign that says Pecan Valley Park. Turn right on Memorial Oaks and follow it as it winds around to the parking lot for the Art Cowsen Trailhead.
From the parking lot follow the wide paved trail east about a mile to the sign for Oakmont Park. Cross the bridge. Turn right on the social trail going uphill. At the intersection turn left for 20 steps. Turn left into the woods. Keep your eye on the place where the trail intersection occurred and when you are even with it look down and to the left. There is a fairly large rock and next to it smaller ones. The pouch is under the smaller rocks. Please reseal and rehide as found.
