Divergent is the first novel of the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth and the story takes place in Chicago in the near future. The city is divided into 5 factions: Abnegation, meant for the selfless; Amity, meant for the peaceful; Candor, meant for the honest; Dauntless, meant for the brave; and Erudite, intended for the knowledgeable. On a given day each year, all sixteen-year-olds take an aptitude test that will tell them for which faction they are best suited, but if a person shows equal aptitude for more than one faction they are considered Divergent and warned never to reveal this information. On Choosing Day they must decide whether to remain with their family or transfer to a new faction, but if for some reason they don't fit into their chosen faction they become factionless, which is similar to being homeless. I have created 6 boxes, representing the 5 factions and the factionless, but to find them you must first take my Aptitude Test. After that you may choose each of the factions to reveal the clues for them. The logbook is in the Factionless box. Have fun being sixteen!
