This box is being planted in honor of SILO 8, Exploring Antiquity (BC), and honors some science of antiquity. The box was planted while it was snowing, so hopefully the clues can be followed even if there is snow on the ground. This is a beautiful hike, but if you are in a hurry, you might be able to find a quicker route to and from the letterbox. The clue isn't the most eloquent, but in the snow, there aren't many good landmarks! This took ~1hr and is 1.5-2miles.

After parking your car, cross the bridge and veer to the right. Go around, and through, the fence, and then follow the trail to the right. For the first few turns, stay to the right when given a choice. As you follow the trail over a small bridge and along a riverbank, keep going past a slight leaner. When you reach it, cross the bridge and head east. Continue down the trail past a pair of houses, and 'private drives', and then take the second turn to the left. Cross the field, then go east through the fence and by Alice's stone, and follow the fence north and then west. There will be a break in the fence and a nice trail to the north. Follow it around to the northwest corner, and then follow the trail west. If you look to the right you might spy what looks like a nice overlook. Keep walking and then when you reach it, cross the bridge (with care) and follow the trail north. Keep walking north until you find a place to think of Willie. This would be a nice place to take a break and enjoy the view, but if you are like us, you are not ready to wait. Instead, return down the trail 35 steps and then look at 340 degrees. Hopefully you are looking through a 'V' tree (about 10 steps off the trail). Look through the 'V' to a tangled multi-trunked tree that is about 15 steps past the 'V,' slightly up the hill. DON'T GO INTO THE WOODS HERE, but instead, go 18 more steps to where you are nearly between two leaners before leaving the trail. The letterbox is hanging near chest-high and tucked into the branches.

To get home, keep going back south across the high bridge. When given options, stay to the right, and soon you will be back to your car.
