The stamp now has a new dry logbook, new baggies, and a new container to hopefully keep it safe. 2/5/2017
Directions:
On I35 east of Waco, take exit 339 to get onto Loop 340 / Lake Shore Drive. There is a McDonald’s on the west side of the I35 overpass. Head west on Lake Shore Drive for 5.5 miles. Landmarks you will see are: Hwy 77, Pilgrim’s Pride plant, Brazos River, Waco River Bend Park, Martin Luther King Blvd, Bosque River, MCC baseball fields @ College Dr. and N.19th St. Now look for Airport Rd on the right. Turn right onto Airport Rd and follow for 1.2 miles passing the H.O.T soccer complex to the beginning of a bridge. Turn left at the Waco Hike and Bike Trails sign and head for the parking area. You are now near the Lake Waco Dam.
From the parking area walk up to the information gazebo (information destroyed by vandals). From the gazebo go right on cement path. Count the light posts. At the 4th post start counting and continue for 35 paces. Look right at multi trunked tree. There is a rock but the micro pouch isn't under it. The pouch is hidden in the tree base where two trunks come together.
