Cesár E. Chávez was the highly respected Latino civil rights activist who co-founded The United Farm Workers union. Their non-violent protests ultimately brought about much improved working conditions for American farm workers.

Stroll along his eponymous boulevard, between two streets named for Portland businessmen, one the owner/operator of the Stark Street ferry in the 1880s and the other a local merchant. Find the little library and search beneath its floor.
