This was the Indy 500 of the area back in the early days of Los Angeles.
This website has great pictures of the race cars and accidents.

The racetrack was nicknamed Killer Track because
more than 20 racers died here.

CLUES
Walk through the white gate on the right which will
take you along the stream. Once you get to the fork that splits
into five directions continue going straight. Do not go along the
stream but just right of the vertical telephone poles that are now
a retaining wall. In a few minutes the fire road will split into two
and the two gates will be a dead end. From this fork about
twenty feet back will be a pepper tree on your right. At this
moment it is very green with many branches at its base.
Base of the tree is the big box covered by pieces of concrete.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
