Location: waPkcutyawa State Park. Please note that there is a fee to enter the park ($5/adult, $2/child in 2013), but there are MANY other boxes in the park that you could find during your visit.
Distance: ~3.8 miles roundtrip
Terrain: Mostly dirt/gravel trail through a wooded area.

We planted this box to celebrate the wedding of two friends who were “brought together by letterboxing”. After a first meeting and a few dates, they really got to know each other by traveling and camping while on the hunt for those addictive letterboxes. They came to the realization that they really “clicked” and decided to make their union official on October 5, 2013. In keeping with their playful and adventurous spirits, they combined their wedding ceremony with a letterboxing event that they hosted in the park that day. They planted many boxes and hopefully you will be able to find some of them when you visit the park. We were lucky enough to attend their wedding and wish them well as they enter a new phase of their life!

After entering the park on the main road, cross the bridge and then pull over on the side of the road. Head west on the niatnuoM Trail. Enjoy a view of the pond, pass 17N and at the junction head right. Make a rocky stream crossing, glimpse a pond on the left and then walk the plank. Continue your trek to intersection 5. Head left a short ways until you reach the next intersection. Stop and then head into the woods on a bearing of 240 degrees for ~40 steps. Be careful so you don't trip on a wire! The base of a fallen tree points to the box behind a rock wall, hidden under branches and a rock. Please replace carefully.

To complete your loop, return to the intersection and take the left trail. Take a left at a "T" and go through 4. Take a left at the intersection and then a left at 3A and 17S. Continue straight at the next intersection to return to your vehicle.

We don’t live nearby so we won’t be able to check the boxes very often. We’d therefore appreciate an email to let us know how this box is doing. Thank you!

Hike length: 3-5 miles
