************ This is my 600th placed box ************
Located in Telge Park, which once had the 2nd most boxes in any park in Texas, but a flood 2 years ago cleared out 3/4 of the boxes.
Directions:
From Hwy 290 if heading out of Houston, take Telge Rd exit and go right on Telge Rd. Once you cross Cypress North Houston, then Cypress Creek, turn right at next street then quick right into parking for Telge Park.
To The Letterbox:
Walk into park, then across open area to bridge. Cross it, then go left, up and down hill, then left at Y junction. Stay on this trail for awhile, passing trail to right at the American Elm sign. Eventually you will come to a large open area. Look right and find pathway that leads to fenced area with green machine. Walk down that path to pipe and manhole cover. Continue past this until you reach the fence. Go left along the fence on small trail for 25 steps. Go left to big oak tree (the one on the right). On back side box is under sticks. IT IS ATTACHED BY FISHING LINE TO THE SMALL TREE, so be aware, and cover all back up. Did this due to floods, so hopefully box will survive the next one.
