This letterbox is in the Betsy Sluder Preserve in Armonk. The preserve is on Old Route 22, between Tutor Time and Birdsall Farm Drive.
Take the red trail. You will pass some houses on your right, pass over rocks that cross a stream, and then the trail will go uphill. At the first intersection, stay straight on the red trail.
Pass an overhanging boulder on your right, and then come to the intersection of the red and green trails. Take the green trail, on the right. At the next intersection, take the blue trail, also to the right. There will be a stream to your left.
Just before a large rock outcropping, the trail makes a hard turn to the left, then goes right. Shortly, you will see a large 4-sister tree on your left. With your back to the part of the trunk closest to the path, face the rocks on the hill ahead. At 11:00, there are two leaning small rocks sitting atop a larger rock. The box is in the space between them, covered by rocks and sticks.
To return to the parking lot, continue on the blue trail, and make a left when you get to the red trail.
