lyrical inspiration:
Hand me down my favorite coat
Show what you're made of, surprise us both
Fly in the night, slow down town
Brake too fast, bring us round, bring us round
And the finest days have come
Summer nights go on so long
So high I might as well be gone
And you are magnificent
I can see you with my eyes closed
You're the last one standing
Lean and hungry with a fire in your eyes
I'll play catch up, you can show me where it's at
I'll go along with anything that you want to do
Everyday I'm making ground
So high I might as well be gone
And you are magnificent
I can see you with my eyes closed
When you come walking into my house
I'll be the last one standing
If you want you can get there
Night vision and I find your white doves
Landing you in treasure towers
And I promise that I won't look back
Everyday we're making ground
So high I might as well be gone
And you are magnificent
I can see you with my eyes closed
When you come walking into my house
I'll be the last one standing

to the box:
Start at the James Talbot sculpture entitled "Your Essential Magnificence". It sits facing S. Congress, on a median between Live Oak and Bartlett. Here is what the artist had to say about this piece: "The world doesn't need more [distress], it needs more of what's beautiful or what's right. I think all people are born wonderful, magnificent and zestful. When that's not showing, that's not because their essential nature is flawed. It's because something is covering it. This is honoring that essential magnificence in the individual."

Once you have enjoyed the sculpture and feel sufficiently magnificent, walk across S. Congress to a small triangular green space called South Austin Island. It is bounded by Congress, Live Oak & College Ave. Go directly to the gazebo. Face the monument to Stephen F. Austin. Sit on the steps, all the way to the right edge. Your Essential Magnificence can be seen to your right. The box is hidden to your right at the edge of the top step, under rocks and leaves. You have to be discreet here because it is a busy public space.
