Easy Drive-by

The Utah Olympic Park at Kimball Junction is near Park City, and served as the 2002 Olympic venue for ski jumping, Nordic combined, bobsled, skeleton and luge. Now, visitors can tour the competition sites, including the world's highest altitude ski jumps and fastest sliding track, as well as the Alf Engen Ski Museum and 2002 Games exhibit

The Olympic Letterbox is hidden across I-80 from the Utah Olympic Park, which can be seen from the Spring Creek Trailhead. This is a dog-friendly trail.

From Salt Lake City, go east on I-80 . Take the Kimball Junction/Park City exit, and turn left, to cross to the other side of I-80 and head south/east on Bitner Rd. (the frontage road).

Turn left on Creekside Lane, and go to the park at Spring Creek Trailhead. Park anywhere along this park. Walk on the paved road that goes on up the hill. Walk across the bridge that goes over the creek, then take the trail on the left that goes back down toward the creek. Go on across the wooden board walk. At the end of the board walk, on the right, large rocks line the base of the hill and trail. Right near the end of the boardwalk, two large rocks are resting on a large flat rock. Look for the letterbox under the crevice of the first of these two rocks. There are loose rocks underneath, blocking it from view.

Please be discreet and replace the box as far back under the rock as possible, and hide it from view with the loose rocks, as this trail is well-traveled all year.
