This letterbox is located at Caledonia State Park. It is 1.02 miles in distance and is rated "hard" by Roads to Freedom standards.

- Start your trek by reading the information on Thaddeus Stevens located on the Iron Monument.
- To the left you should notice a trail named after the person described on the monument. Begin walking along this trail, noticing a small stream on your left.
- Before crossing the bridge, stay to the right of the small stream and continue onto the Charcoal Hearth Trail. As you are walking on the Charcoal Hearth Trail, you will make a quick right and walk briefly before beginning up the hill.
- Continue up the hill until you reach the summit (Elevation 1500 feet).
- As you near the summit, you will notice four trees that share one large trunk on the left.
- Continue walking until you arrive at another four trees that share one trunk. This time they will be on your right.
- The post may be nearby – on the left side of the trail.
- Return to the parking area the way you came.
