Fender at Lamar Park
Lamar Park near the corner of Byron Center Ave and Porter St (just north of 28th Street)
Park at the lot closest to Lamar Field Grand Stand (Home of the Wolves)
Look north only a playground stands in your way to a small bridge.
Cross the bridge and walk through the large picnic areas now home Music in the Parks on Tuesdays all summer long.
In the distance is a large Gazebo, test your skills at the climbing wall, enjoy a soccer game or cool off in the splash pad.
At the Gazebo head west towards the basketball courts.
A yellow fire hydrant near the tree line point the way
The parking lot turns into a narrow gravel path
Looking through the trees you can see the freeway exit
A second fire hydrant and more importantly a manifold filled with working faucets provides an opportunity to get a drink.
Keep heading north the park ash dump can be seen along the tree line.
Behind this mound near the fence line is a rotten vine.
Fender is carefully tucked behind this vine pressed against a tree.
This is not a widely used section of the park so there is little need to hide. Please after leaving mark and stamping passport be sure that the box is not visible.
