Volume Three: Zwxtr Spiral

Universal Record Archives--The Legend of Zwxtr and Earth
(Told in Earther speak to carry the rambunctious flavor of the tale)
An outer dimensional species composed of mostly matter arose to sentience upon a planet diverse with organic life several galactic rotations ago. They were Humans and their technology was at a precarious juncture when their planet and the All was nearly lost to external forces beyond their comprehension.
An inner dimensional species composed of mostly energy existed in the deep folds of space. They were Zwxtr and they developed the first recorded spatial rifting technology. They were explorers and at the time of Zwxtr-Human contact the outer dimensions were a new phenomenon to the Zwxtr.
Contact began innocently enough. A Zwxtr sub-circuit of the great Zwxtr host reconnoitered the planet Earth. In its naïveté, it failed to recognize the world was teeming with organic living beings. It collected data from this unusual world. The Zwxtr sub-circuit departed, leaving behind a proverbial calling card should sentience reveal itself later.
The Zwxtr host processed data from its sub-circuit’s Earth reconnaissance for many millions of cycles. Interesting quantum variances were recognized and organic life was simulated. The nuances had only begun to be fully appreciated, when the inter-dimensional doorbell was rung (some twenty years later as the Earthers counted). The Zwxtr host rejoiced at this significant discovery and assigned a sub-circuit to retrieve the sentient being so a discussion could be initiated.
The sub-circuit rifted to the Earther world guided by a standard singularity beacon deployed previously. The Human was brought back to the Zwxtr fold for an instant but that was nearly the end of it All. A Zwxtr “handshake” had been extended to communicate with the human, in Zwxtr conversational fashion. Two consequences occurred. The brain pulse patterns of the human were transmitted throughout the host contaminating Zwxtr energy patterns with data not unlike a human computer virus. Second, a quantum collapse began within the Earther’s incompatible mass swirling outward on his body like a dark plague in fractal patterns. The Zwxtr host thrust the Human back through a rift to its Earther world, though at a random location.
The Zwxtr host mind quarantined the energy contamination within itself. It was then able to simulate the quantum collapse which had affected the Human. The host computed the resulting quantum reaction would quickly transform the fabric of outer-dimensional matter and space, the All, into an inert slush of wave energy.
This forecast of expanding outer-dimensional destruction was viciously horrid to the Zwxtr conscience, and without delay it acted. The quantum singularity deployed on Earth was maneuvered and imploded at the epicenter of the quantum disruption, effectively eliminating the plague and resulting in relatively minor damage to Earth.
Zwxtr be praised! The All survives to this moment because of the Zwxtr host’s swift and selfless action.
Unfortunately, it appears the Zwxtr host did not fare as well. Innumerable Zwxtr sub-circuits had contained the viral energy pattern but the infection gradually consumed more and more energy. The Zwxtr host ejected a data store into the outer-dimensions, and then sealed itself away, never to be heard from again.
The information contained in the Zwxtr data store has aided outer-dimensional sentients to develop safe rifting to explore other inner-dimensionsal worlds. Only with Zwxtr insight has our galactic civilization become what it is today!
A historic site honoring the two races, Zwxtr and Human, may be found at the center of the singularity implosion on Earth. The site has been refurbished painstakingly to its pre-implosion state so you can enjoy the trails the local Earthers ambled in an era long gone.

Important Note: In honor of the Zwxtr sacrifice, all angular values cited herein shall be raised to Yth power, where Y is the number of tendrils found on the tentacular appendage of a Zwxtr, (legend has it the “Zwxtr Hunt” imprint reveals this number) Human measurements are used throughout to preserve the consistency of the tale. Note angles greater than 360 degrees can be reduced by subtracting 360 from them. Distances are unaffected and are fully accurate throughout.
Deep Space Transit: (as charted in the 2-D galactic plane)
Depart in your craft from any arbitrary location. Travel a distance of 48 light-years at 7.15 degrees from galactic north. Ensure Chernenkov radiation trails are active. Continue 29 light-years at 4.76 degrees. Finish off this leg of the trip by traveling 35 light-years at 8.50 degrees. Enter hyperspace and exit due east a couple light-years from your current position.
Proceed at high velocity for 24 light-years at a bearing of 6.43 degrees then 20 light-years at 7.76 degrees. Speed along 18 light-years at 6.38 degrees then 26 light-years at 4.90 degrees. Again enter hyperspace and exit a few light-years east again.
Launch off again 45 light-years at 2.15 degrees and 27 light-years at 4.89 degrees. Surge full speed ahead 34 light-years at 8.49 degrees and 38 light-years at a bearing of 4.99. And, yes you should enter hyperspace once more, exiting a light-year or two to the east again.
Finally, zip 52 light-years at 7.08 degrees from galactic north and 26 light-years bearing 7.75. Finish off by blasting 43 light-years at 6.51 degrees and you will be at the end of your galactic journey.
If you have followed these abbreviated instructions to the letter and in this precise order, you’ll find yourself at the correct area, a recreated greenspace located in what was once known to the Earthers as Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

The Outer Spiral
Begin the long lazy loop. Coincidentally, this trail name translates roughly to the photonic energy core of the Zwxtr essence or “Tharn.” Along the way absorb the solar RAYS in honor of the Zwxtr sacrifice. This long trail meanders through various terrain, and eventually reveals some grand human architecture in the distance. Shortly thereafter, you’ll come to a wooden gate where you can make a double left onto a road, or is it a creek; well whichever, you’ll be able to enjoy aspects of both along the way. After a while, look for a wooden post which proclaims NO BIKES and MEADOW as this is your next left onto the Inner Spiral.
The Inner Spiral
Rest on the bench at the intersection before the climb up the hill. The next wood post will indicate where you’ll make your next left leading you to a dead end of sorts at which resides the KAG stone. From the KAG stone proceed down the trail until you find a large HEARTY tree. From the tree 12 paces at 6.54 (Zwxtr corrected) degrees, you’ll find the commemorative stamp in the bowels of a massive tree (you may have to dig a little). Stamp your Galactic Journal and rehide where you found it.
The Visitor Center map shall direct you where you’d like to go next.
