“This is Scouting”

Before you start Be Prepared “B-1” with nature

Betray all you know head the wrong way on the one way

Look South to where home should be; there is no place like home.

Behind the invisible bench of the home team find a narrow passage through the dark forest.

To know you’re on the right path check out the giant pine with many broken arms. Guess its age (Take the diameter 54 inches above ground level multiplied by the growth factor of 5) That is an old tree.

Head east along a rough path, careful to leave no trace and use low impact hiking as there are several branches and vegetation along the way that are home to a multitude of critters.

Find the true path with a crossing over the toxic waters; though clear this water is full of microorganisms’ best boil for 5 minutes before drinking.

From the crossing find the tree with the tumors resembling the base of a rocket

At the Tree Rocket head west

Follow the trail that leads to the end; stay on the true trail through a sea of ferns.

You must stay on the trail, avoid the urge to go golfing continue north at the marker.

Check out the twisted tree it is truly unique, there must be a tail to tell.

Don’t drink the swamp water those that have most certainly regretted it latter.

Near the path lies a pile trunks naked with age. Slowly decaying trunks are vital to a healthy woodland. At this site head West.

Stay right of the fence respect the private land look for the triple trunk tree to know you’re on the right path.

Enjoy the black berries if in season. Head back into the woods there four sentinels will be watching the path.

Count 50 paces from the edge from the edge of the wilderness.

The finger will point the way to the objective.
Few ever travel off the beaten path into the tree graveyard.

Study up on Poison Ivy (3 leaves) and Poison Oak (5 leaves) for there is certainly a risk of contact here though easily avoided.

15 paces off the main trail, with a finger pointing the way two totems stand by the home of “This is Scouting.

Do a good turn, leave your mark in the passport book and then return undisturbed to its home.
