Brownie Bash letterbox is located on the grounds of Cornell University, near the Fuertes Observatory, located on the North Campus. (http://www.cornell.edu/maps/) The observatory address is 209 Cradit Farm Drive, if using a GPS. Limited parking is available in the Appel Commons parking lot across the street from the observatory. Park in the Pay & Display metered spots ($1.00 per hour).

Locate the white observatory building, and walk to the far end of the Appel Commons parking lot, near the tennis courts. Across the street from the tennis courts is the service driveway to the observatory (to the left of the white building). Walk up the driveway a short distance to the paved footpath. Turn right on the footpath, and follow it until you reach steps on your left.

Walk down 118 steps. Stop and enjoy the view of Beebe Lake!

Cross the stone bridge.

Walk up 16 stone steps. “Henry” will be on your right.

Turn left on the path. Stop on the wooden boardwalk to gaze at the waterfall. Continue to follow the path to the end of the railing.

Go about 20 steps further, up the curve. Look right and find the rock wall.

Find the single-trunked Maple tree. Follow your eyes all the way down and look under the flat rock.
