This letterbox is part of the GO and Dig It Up! program. It will be available from June 1, 2013 - August 18, 2013. Further details about the program may be found at www.goyork.org.

GO and Dig It Up! uses "garden plots" – wooden posts with engraved plates on them – instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please carefully rub the impression from the engraved plate into the program Gardener's Journal, available at any York County library.

The letterbox is located at Samuel S. Lewis State Park. GO York level of difficulty = Hard

- Start at the small restroom house and walk to the swing set.
- The Hilltop Trail borders the forest. Find the trail and make a left, heading downhill.
- A short way down the hill, you will see a Hilltop Trail marker with a yellow blaze.
- Follow the yellow blazes down the trail and across the park maintenance driveway. The park maintenance building should be on your right.
- After crossing the driveway, a yellow blaze will point you to the left.
- At the first horseshoe pit, make a right and follow the trail into the woods.
- Make a left onto a gravel trail and continue until the trail makes a “T”. Make a right onto Back Trail.
- Continue following Back Trail until you come to a very sharp turn in a small clearing. The post will be nearby.
- To return to the parking area, continue on the Back Trail and, after passing the maintenance building, continue to the top of the hill.
